Local Volunteers
Working to assist current and former Samford residents who are registered with the Samford Support Network
From time to time this involves working with other organisations.
The SSN is able to assist anyone who has a disability, or who is incapacitated or struggling due to illness or accident, or who is over 65. We help to reduce isolation and loneliness by driving residents to social activities, the shops or medical appointments and through resident visitation.
Samford Support Network’s Services include:
Transport Services
Social Events and Shopping
Food Delivery
Client Support Services
Emergency Help around the Home
Keeping People in their Home
Mobile Alert Pendants
Hardship Fund
We require a minimum of 3 business days notice for drives and most other services. We are able to assist with small tasks in the home and garden, or small handyman tasks.
From time to time SSN works in conjunction with other community groups and work with local organisations to support our residents and our local economy.
